Pull kids out, now. Their money comes from the number of students so start starving the beast. Move to a parent-friendly state. People's kids are at risk and they must look at it like that - not the "well, I went through public school and I came out just fine." Ok, so did all the freak teachers on TikTok so that's not a valid argument for MANY reasons.

I’m a school board trustee in northern ca, and this describes exactly what happened at our June 15 Board meeting. I read a statement saying that our approach to transgender has had unintended consequences. The board then voted to include LGBTQA+ in their LCAP, and to have mandatory LGBTQA+ training for teachers, to be provided by the union.

"mandatory...training...to be provided by the union."

Therein lies the nationwide push for this BS. NGOs, unions and non-profits: the true foot soldiers for wokeness.

You know they've had a quality education and they're in the process (they think) of passing on the gems they've been taught when you see the course schedule and realize they've incorrectly pluralized days of the week by adding apostrophe-s. Surely someone in the organization knows what they've done is make a possessive out of the word, which is utterly inappropriate to the context.

The inability to communicate effectively in oral OR written English, is, and has for many years, been a characteristic of the left. 'They' very obviously lack the ability to use teach, or understand language. And we let them "teach" our kids!

Will this idiotic, manufactured "genderism" being taught in schools be the battlefield where the war against leftism finally begins to be fought?

It would seem that we must take a stand against them somewhere. Odd that it should be over such a weird, fairy-tale of an issue: Men pretending to be women. When so many of the left's claims and onslaughts have been more substantial. Like the idea that more government will fix our problems. It's wrong, but at least it makes some sense.

A couple of weeks back in England a window was opened into just how up 'emselves some teachers have become.

When a pupil in a 'Life Class' said of their classmate - who identified as a cat - that the pupil must be a bit crazy, the teacher said this was despicable and got very aggressive. But another pupil had the presence of mind to record the exchange. Here are a few snippets:

Teacher: 'Where did you get this idea from that there's only two genders?'

Pupil: 'I just said my opinion. If I respect their opinion, can't they respect mine?'

Teacher: it is 'not an opinion' and 'gender is not linked to the parts that you were born with'...... 'there are lots of genders - there is transgender, there is agender - people that don't believe they have a gender at all'.

Pupil: 'If you have a vagina you're a girl and if you have a penis you're a boy - that's it'.

Teacher: 'Cisgender is not necessarily the way to be. You were talking about the fact that cisgender is the norm, that you identify with the gender of the sexual organ you were born with, or you're weird, that's basically what you're saying, which is really despicable.'

What kind of school? Church of England denominational.

HOME SCHOOL. Organize small groups one parent doesn't have to do everything. There are lots of online tools that can help get you organized. While online courses are not a great way to learn they are very useful for reinforcement. If your students are middle or high school and there is a college or university near you they will certainly have a writing center and all kinds of student tutors that will work cheap correcting writing assignments or test. Get creative and be willing to try something new not everything will work but that's true of the classroom as well. I have been thinking a lot about how AI can be used in home schooling. It's deeply gratifying to use the establishments own tools against them.

Greetings, OPD. This was cross-posted by Chris Bray and it certainly did not disappoint. Subscribed!

The Long March went national in the last couple decades. There are actual activist teachers now in rural areas intentionally playing the subversive. Gay-Straight Alliances are nothing more than groomer gangs and pressure groups. Get the kids obsessed with genitalia and race young and they'll never grow up to question the actual system or perceive a reality beyond their basest desires and identities. Children are now evangelized, under the pretext of education, into the Gaia cult. The Nazis and Bolsheviks would be proud of what their progeny has wrought.

“To have something removed from your classroom that represents your belonging there and the community you identify with … is disheartening.”

As a student, you belong there if you reside within that district, and federal dollars are allocated to your school for the privilege of educating you. What is so hard to understand? When I was in school, the only issue of who maybe doesn't belong in the classroom was with regard to behavior problems creating difficulty in said classroom.

Your flags and your sexuality are something you do on your own time, not the students' time.

I despise groomers and there may be tar and feathers in their futures.

This happened in our small community which is a conservative State, even though are Republican State law makers are not what I would define as conservative. Our school board heard from gay graduates who came back to town and talked about what awful people we were and how alphabet unfriendly we were. On the end, the school board made a rule that the pride flag could not be flown, in this case it was a middle school. They reached this decision because they knew they would be voted off the school board the vary next time they ran. We survived, for now.

Rachel Fretard was disappointed that something that represents that she “belongs” from the classroom. Well, that’s how Christians felt when the Christian flag, Bible and name of God were removed from schools and now they want to remove the very idea of God from schools.

We could defund the Department of Education. Too many benefits to list with that simple act. The NEA would be meaningless, unless they switched to local efforts and they might be too lazy to work that hard. I'm for anything but what we have now.

Here in Georgia, the news is the 77th wedding anniversary of Jimmy and Rosalind Carter. We should also note that he created the Department of Education to pay back the teachers unions for their support in his presidential campaign. I remember my parents being appalled and angry. I was so politically naive that I thought they were overreacting. Now I get it.

AWFLs are the Church Ladies of Social Justice, which is really a Christian heresy, involving the same principles in re equality and compassion, but with Christ replaced by "the marginalized" as the center of our moral universe. (Critical Social Justice is more or less the grandchild of Marxism and Protestantism.)

Thus in their religion the Trans child supplants the Christ child and becomes the martyr who died for our sins, who we should pray and atone to, who teaches us about charity and compassion, and who symbolizes how we should all love and care for each other. (Also, this would be far from the first religion involving ritual child sacrifice.)

The Church Lady imagines herself as part Morality Police and part nanny of the poor and suffering, she reminds us all where the boundaries of the sacred lie, where we're allowed to stand and what we're allowed to say. She tries to get us all to follow in her footsteps through constant applications of guilt, shame and moral scolding.

This is our new official state religion, a sort of postmodern post-Freudian secular Christianity, with "the marginalized" as savior and Marxist epistemology as its intellectual foundation.

Christianity is alive and well, just mutating once again to meet different needs for different people.

No Christian values at all. They are a Marxist Cult! Perhaps secularism is their religion of sorts. But, Christian, No Way!

This is what they are!

Romans 1: 28-31

28 Furthermore, just as they did not think it worthwhile to retain the knowledge of God, so God gave them over to a depraved mind, so that they do what ought not to be done. 29 They have become filled with every kind of wickedness, evil, greed and depravity. They are full of envy, murder, strife, deceit and malice. They are gossips, 30 slanderers, God-haters, insolent, arrogant and boastful; they invent ways of doing evil; they disobey their parents; 31 they have no understanding, no fidelity, no love, no mercy.

I agree that Social Justice lacks things like mercy and redemption and heaven etc, and it has deep Marxist roots, but I still think my point stands.

The word "heresy" comes from Greek hairesis "a taking or choosing for oneself, a choice, a means of taking;" and now means more familiarly: "unorthodox religious sect or doctrine."

Social Justice deviates from Christianity in many ways but still retains at its heart the idea of the sanctity of suffering, of how certain martyr victims died for our sins and how our morality should be arranged with them at the center. There are also some cargo-cult attributes to their twist on Scripture, such as "the first shall be last and the last shall be first" etc and also their fundamentalist interpretation of the Parable of the Good Samaritan.

I think the cause here is that ours is still a very Christian culture, most especially around equality and human rights, thus the Marxists found fertile soil for their new belief system.

Christianity has experienced many heresies and this one also reminds me of the Protestant Revolution, esp in re how that was as much a creature of the Gutenberg printing press as social media is for our newest heretics.

Not this Christian. I AGREE 100% with what you just said. It disgusts me because it eviscerates the character of God. I serve a God that DOESN’T coerce. Ever. Coercion is from the enemy of God. Period. This is one way to distinguish the true followers of Jesus Christ from the false.
